Partnerships
The Department of Health Care Ethics is committed to establishing partnerships at the university, local, and national level. Examples of current partnerships include:
- Bander Center for Medical Business Ethics: The Bander Center promotes ethical business practices in medical care and research through the development of training and investigation opportunities for medical students, residents, and physicians in practice.
- Washington University in St. Louis Center for Clinical Research Ethics: The Department of Health Care Ethics oversees the Center for Clinical Research Ethics within the Washington University Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences, providing education, consultation and ethics research to the Washington University research community.
- Catholic Health Association: The Catholic Health Association and the Department of Health Care Ethics jointly publish Health Care Ethics USA, a quarterly newsletter focusing on issues faced by Catholic health care institutions and providers. - Consortium of Jesuit Bioethics Programs: Saint Louis University has joined with the Creighton University Center for Health Policy & Ethics, Georgetown University Center for Clinical Ethics, Loyola University Chicago Neiswanger Institute for Bioethics & Health Policy, Loyola Marymount University Bioethics Institute, Regis University Center for Ethics & Leadership in the Health Professions and St. Joseph's University Institute of Catholic Bioethics to create the Consortium of Jesuit Bioethics Programs.
