Faculty in the Department of Health Care Ethics regularly serve as consultants in clinical and organizational ethics. Consults are done nationwide for health care systems on an ad hoc basis, as well as locally through memberships on ethics committees at Saint Louis University, DePaul, St. Anthony's, and St. Alexius Hospitals. Additionally, faculty serve on the Institutional Review Boards of St. Anthony's and St. Alexius Hospitals, and Saint Louis University.
